NATCHEZ — Services for Alexander Latham, 66, of Natchez, who died Friday, July 18, 2014, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Word of Faith Christian Center with the Rev. Bettye Cade officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.07:25 Alexander Latham obitpic

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Latham was born Oct. 11, 1947, in Natchez, the son of Elizabeth Latham.

He was a former employee of R. W. Delaney Construction Company and worked at a pig farm.

He loved to fish and hunt.

Mr. Latham was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tennessee Butler and Emerson Latham; two sisters, Rosie Lee Williams and Tennessee Latham Linston; three uncles, Andrew Butler, the Rev. James Minor and Marble Hunt; and one brother-in-law, Percy Williams Jr.

Survivors include his mother; six brothers, Emerson Latham and wife, Jennifer, of Jackson; Johnny Latham, David Latham, John Latham and wife, Lanery, Paul Latham and wife, Catherine, and Ronnie Latham, all of Natchez; two sisters, Mary Williams and husband, Willie, and Alice Minor and husband, Maurice, all of Baton Rouge; five uncles, James Butler and wife, Rosetta, Freddie Latham, Charlie Latham and Larry Latham; six aunts, Carrie Minor, Marie Hunt, Lillie Mae Anderson and husband, Martian, Careen Latham, Thelma Latham and Mary Alice Latham, all of Natchez; and a number of nephews, nieces, and other relatives, who will miss him dearly.
