COLUMBUS — Memorial services for Sidney Richards “Ricky” Harrison, 63, of Columbus, who died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Hope Community Church, located at the Rosenweig Arts Center, 501 Main St., with Bo Jeffares officiating.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Columbus.

Ricky was born Tuesday, Oct. 31, 1950, in Natchez, the son of Sidney Lee Harrison and Bobbye Register Harrison.

He was a member of Hope Community Church and a U.S. Army Vietnam era veteran.

Ricky was self-employed as a paint contractor. He loved children and playing the guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Vosen Harrison; three daughters, Amy Harrison Womble and husband, Jonathan, of Brandon, Katherine Harrison Jones and husband, Rick, and Bobbye Harrison, all of Columbus; two sons, Jacob Harrison and wife, Shana, of Vidalia, and Aaron Harrison and wife, Allison, of Hazlehurst; one sister, Cindy Harrison Shackleford and husband, Edward, of Ridgeland; and six grandchildren, Devan Womble, Alex Womble, Logan Womble, Jacob Harrison, Chandler Harrison and Rylee Jones.
