NATCHEZ — Services for Charles Wilbert Bass, 65, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, in Natchez, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. LeRoy White officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 5:45 p.m., Friday, with a celebration of life wake at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Bass was born June 20, 1949, in Natchez, the son of Sidney Bass Sr. and Leanna T. Bass.

He was a graduate of the Natchez public school system and was employed as an electrician.

Charles was a Baptist and enjoyed watching television, working word puzzles and taking walks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Sidney Bass Jr.; and two sisters, Betty Phipps and Evelyn Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Addie W. Bass; four sons, Carlos Williams, Charles Washington, Brian Williams and Michael Williams; two daughters, Raynelle Washington and Kendra Williams; one brother, Robert L. James and wife, Gloria; one sister, Barbara Alexander and husband, Richard; eight grandchildren; two special nieces, Gladys S. Green and Valarie Phipps; three special nephews, Willie Hunt, John Hunt Jr. and Sidney Bass III; a special great-niece, Daquira Hunt; 22 nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
