NATCHEZ — Services for Betty J. Cameron, 64, of Natchez, who died Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.111414BettyCameron obitpic

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Cameron was born Aug. 7, 1950, in Natchez, the daughter of David Sr. and Alena Hawkins.

She was a 1968 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School.

Ms. Cameron was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Willie Hawkins; and one granddaughter, India Swa’Rae Cameron.

Survivors include three children, Neka Cameron-Ware, Charles Cameron Jr. and Carlos Redden, all of Natchez; one special son, Bradrick Ware of Natchez; three brothers, David Hawkins Jr. and wife, Mary, Nathaniel Myles and wife, Brenda, all of Natchez, and Richard Davis and wife, Keiko, of Dayton, Fla.; three sisters, Virginia Hargrave and husband, Darnell, LaVonna Belton and husband, Timothy, and Caren Mayhyoub and husband, Fidell, all of Natchez; eight grandchildren, Gervoni Ware, Kedric Smith, Brandi Ware, Jordon Daniels, Niah Daniels, Charles Cameron III, Bryant Foster Jr., and Destini Saul, all of Natchez; three great-grandchildren, Tobias Ware, Kobie Ware and Geyonni Ware, all of Natchez; and three special grandchildren, Roy Corney, Chris Corney and Jarriod Hauer, all of Natchez.
