NATCHEZ — Services for Mamie L. Jenkins, 82, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at the Watkins Street Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, both at the funeral home.
Ms. Jenkins was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Pinckeyville, the daughter of Fred and Mary Jenkins. She was Baptist.
She was employed by the Eola Hotel as a cook.
Ms. Jenkins was retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Fannie Hollins and Beatrice Shinault; one brother, Henry Jenkins; and two sons, David and Derrick Smith.
Survivors include seven children, Jerry Richardson and wife, Neotha, Michael Richardson and wife, Sheila, Earl Richardson, Debra Richardson, Donald Richardson and wife, Melissa, Marshal Richardson and JoRuth Osgood; 11 grandchildren, LaTonya, Tony, Jerrell, Earl III, Steven, Darrol, Derrick, James, Brittany, Eckwanise and Elbert III; four great-grandchildren, Kevonnia, Romeo, Jada and DaKaylin; six siblings, Pinky, Helen, Vivian, Tina, Arthur and Wilma; and a number of caring nieces, nephews and cousins.
