NATCHEZ — Services for Daniel Wayne Huff Sr., 47, of Natchez, who died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rha Baraha and the Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday, both at the funeral home.
Mr. Huff was born Aug. 3, 1968, in Natchez, the son of Carrol Ray Huff and Patricia Madison Huff.
He was a self-employed plumber. He had also been employed by R.A. Edgin Construction Company.
Mr. Huff was a member of the Washington Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to collect arrowheads and old rocks.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Jessie Mae Madison; paternal grandparents, H.B. and Celia Huff; one aunt, Johnnie Mae Bunch; and two uncles, Fred Madison Jr. and Billy Gene Madison.
Survivors include his parents of Natchez; one daughter, Kristina Burchfield and husband, Larry Burchfield Jr., of Vidalia; one son, Daniel Wayne Huff Jr. of Natchez; two grandchildren, Blair and Braden Burchfield of Vidalia; two brothers, Kenneth Ray Huff of Brandon and Ronald Lee Huff and wife, Suzanne, of Natchez; three nephews, Benjamin Huff, Alexander Huff and Joshua Huff; and two nieces, Taylor Huff and Lauren Huff.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Anders, Josh Huff, Stanley Perry, Everett Thomson, E.J. Forman and Randy Forman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Newell, Keith Newell, Albert “Booger” Newell, Steven Dukes and Horace Thompson.
