NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Hannah Rose Claiborne, of Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Marshall Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
Claiborne was born on Dec. 1, 1950, the daughter of Freddie Roosevelt and Carlotta Claiborne.
Roosevelt received her formal education through the Natchez School District where she excelled in her studies. She served dutifully 27 years in the public school system as a cafeteria service worker and later became manager until retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Melissa Claiborne-Lewis, uncle, Houston Paige; granddaughters, Chriseta Ainsworth and Mattie Hannah Rose Naylor; and niece, Tonya Paige.
Survivors include her brother, Charles Edward and wife, Maella Paige; children; Carlotta Bennett and husband, Clayberth, Edith C. Hawkins and husband, Cedrick, Chriseta Landry and husband, Christopher, Gamaliel Claiborne and god daughter, Shungela N. Bates; adopted children; C’ne Alexis N. C. Gray and Charles E. Naylor; grandchildren; Earl Thomas Malone III, Tracey D. Smith, Zakari L. Smith, Hannah Jane Rose L. Naylor, Arminta S. Bennett, Gwenester J. Bennett, Clayberth H. Bennett Jr., Carla C. Claiborne, Demond E. Fleming, Anthony M. Hale Jr., lmane C. Ramsey, Sadarius M. Thomas, Jakari Claiborne, Josh Claiborne and Sabriyah Gray; close family members, Trinette Carter, Rosetta Hoggatt, Alonzo Hoggatt, and Kiarra Hoggatt, all of Cleveland, Tenn.; and a number of other relatives and friends.
