NATCHEZ — Services for William Eugene Havard, 84, of Natchez, who died Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.
Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Havard was born March 15, 1931, in Wilkinson County, the son of Luther Lee Havard and Ruby Lea Parker Havard.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was also a member of Highland Baptist Church and retired from International Paper Company in Natchez after 45 years of service.
Mr. Havard was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Havard; and one brother, James Havard.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ruby F. Havard; two daughters, Marilyn Campbell of Natchez and Cheryl Harrell and husband, Gordon, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one son, Gregory Havard and wife, Bridget, of Alexandria, La.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Evans and husband, Charles “Bub” Evans of Woodville and Margaret Durham of Zachary; one brother, Sammy Havard of Natchez; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Havard, Brian Havard, Hunter Zane Tyler, Dalton Harrell, Gordon Harrell, Joshua M. Harrell, Wayne Durham and R.V. Arnold.
