KENNER, La. — Services for Rose Marie Gray, 76, of Kenner, La., who died peacefully Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at her residence surrounded by family and friends, were noon Monday at the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Kenner.

Burial followed at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie, La., under the direction of Garden of Memories Funeral Home in Metairie.

Mrs. Gray was born in Natchez and was a resident of Kenner for the past 42 years.

She will be forever remembered for her witty personality and her love of Ole Miss, BET, her spiritual community and the Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life of 52 years, William “Paul” Gray Sr.; and two siblings, Edward Sanders and Beatrice Barre.

Survivors include one son, William “Paul” Gray Jr. and wife, Melissa; one daughter, Bonny Gray Persick; seven grandchildren, Shane, Alicia and husband, Erik, Darren, Kaylen, Toni, Kelly and Kristen; three great-grandchildren, Erik Jr., Reese and Riley; two sisters, Nancy Burt and Linda Coyle; and a number of other relatives and good friends.

The family extends a special thanks to Guardian Hospice and all those who have supported and prayed for Rose “Meme” and the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Association at pulmonaryfibrosis.org.
