WATERPROOF — Police weare searching late Thursday for three inmates who escaped earlier in the day from the Tensas Parish Detention Center.
Warden Jay Smith said Christopher Newcomb, Christopher Stringer and Chase Courville escaped but would not confirm the time or manner of their escape.
Smith described the men as three white males and said the incident was under investigation.
Courville was serving time for armed robbery and was scheduled for release in September next year, Smith said. Stringer had two years left to serve for the theft of a motor vehicle, and Newcomb had five years left to serve for simple burglary.
