NATCHEZ — Services for Leander Morrison, 82, of Natchez, who died Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Webb/Winfield Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Morrison was born May 28, 1933, in New Albany, the son of Leander Morrison and Joanna Morrison.
He was the owner of C&D Gulf Service Station for 11 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Leander Morrison III; and one sister, Marea Banks.
Survivors include his wife of 62 and one-half years, Mary Morrison; one daughter, Shelia Woods and husband, Michael, of Natchez, one son, Nolan Morrison and special friend, Terry, of Vidalia; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Verlean Coulston, Daisy Miller and Sarah Fuller, all of Natchez; two goddaughters, Linda Hardin of Fort Wayne and Kenyata Woods of Byram; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Maurice Robinson, Michael Woods Jr., Michael Woods, Nolan Morrison, David Morrison and Charles Moore.
