CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Services for Edwin “Ed” Young Jr., 74, of Chattanooga, Tenn., formerly of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, after an extended illness, were Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at the Ooltewah Seventh-Day Adventist Church where he was a member.
Arrangements were under the direction of Covenant Funeral Home in Chattanooga.
Ed was devoted to his church. He enjoyed greeting and singing in the choir.
Ed loved sports and faithfully cheered for the Tennessee Volunteers, Peyton Manning with the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Braves.
Ed worked for a number of years at Mills and Lupton before retiring from Walter A. Wood. He always loved to laugh and see friends. He was a devoted husband and father.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Pat, and one daughter, Kristin Young.
He is also survived by his granddog, Max.
