NATCHEZ — Services for Allen Bernard Coley, 80, of Natchez, who died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at Baton Rouge General Hospital in Baton Rouge, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mr. Coley was born Aug. 22, 1935, in Natchez to Allen L. Coley and Eva Mae Coley.
He retired after many years of service with International Paper Company and the Mississippi National Guard. He also enjoyed his small business “B & D Hay and Cattle Business.” Mr. Coley cherished the times he spent with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Flora Mae Nelson.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Bonner Coley of Natchez; two sons, Allen B. Coley Jr. of Natchez and James O. Coley of Natchez; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vivian Webb and Mary Brumfield, both of Natchez; one brother, William Coley of Natchez and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Briethaupt, James Allen Coley, Kevin Coley, Ted Bonner, Tylar Duffy and Rickey Nelson.
