BUDE — Services for Linda Kent, 70, who died Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at her residence in Bude, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Bude with the Rev. Mike Morris officiating. 

Graveside services will follow at Hopewell Cemetery at Bude under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home and continue 1 p.m. Monday until service time at the church.

Mrs. Kent was born on Aug. 11, 1945, in Natchez to Billy Myers and Molly Evelyn Jones Myers.

Linda was a retired Bank of Franklin employee, having spent 37 years greeting people with her pleasant smile and helpful attitude.  She loved to work in her yard and care for people in need. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and a friend to many.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Kent; brother, William Eugene Myers; sister Diane Sullivan; maternal grandparents Paul and Clara Jones and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jep Myers.

Survivors are son, Anthony (Poochie) Kent and brother, Charles Myers along with a special little sister, Paula Dillon.

Pallbearers are Brad Jones, Glen Zumbro, Carl Cupit, Mike Priest, Chris Calcote and Gary Buckels.

The family requests donations be sent in memory of Linda Kent to Franklin County Relay for Life at American Cancer Society, 819 Langford Ln. NW, Meadville, MS, 39653.
