NATCHEZ — Services for Shirley Ann Brewer Halford, 79, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge, will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Natchez Church of God with the Rev. Brian Monehan officiating.

Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery near Meadville under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until service time Friday the church.

Mrs. Halford was born May 13, 1936, in Crosby, the daughter of Reuben Melton Brewer and Ila McLain Brewer.

She was a member of the Natchez Church of God.

Mrs. Halford was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James E. Brewer; and sister, Louise Marshall.

She was also preceded in death by a special pet, Colby.

Survivors include her husband, Weldon “Bo” Halford; one daughter, Levona Miller and husband, Shelton, of Maringouin, La.; two grandsons, Timothy Shane Miller of Sulphur, La., and Douglas Levon Miller of Maringouin; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Monica, Alex and Emmett; one sister, Helen Ruth Strong of Slidell, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be L.B. Mullens, Charles Ray Mullens, Douglas Miller, Shane Miller, Kelly Johnston and Billy McCrory.

Honorary pallbearer will be Dale Havard.
