ROXIE — Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta Griffin, 88, of Roxie, who died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be 3 p.m. today at East Roxie Church of Christ.

Burial will follow at Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Griffin was born July 28, 1927, in Franklin County, the daughter of Jim Shells and Mary Ann Matthews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Furdand Griffin; one son, Levi Shell; one sister, Lucinda McDaniel and one brother, Levi Shell.

Survivors include one daughter, Nara Lena Griffin; two sons, Amos Griffin and French Griffin; seven grandchildren, Kendell Griffin, Tracy Griffin and companion, Jack, Veronica Griffin, Percie Griffin, Rhonda Griffin and companion, Josh, Sheri Anderson and husband, Shawn, and Faye Griffin and companion, Terrance; 17 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
