RIDGECREST — Services for Harry Roy, 73, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at his residence, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church in Ridgecrest with the Rev. Eddie Schiele officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Roy was born Oct. 26, 1942, in Lettsworth, La., the son of George and Alma Carr Roy.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Oneder Cephus Roy; one son, Verlon Roy and wife, Kalita; six daughters, Veronica Jenkins, Leslie Jarreau and Malantha Roy, all of Baton Rouge, Carla McKeel and Barbara Washington, both of Ferriday, and Savitri Willis of Boutte, La.; one sister, Peggy Moody and husband, DeArtrous, of Shreveport, La.; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
