FERRIDAY — Services for Angela Thornton, 36, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Gene Beard officiating.

Burial will follow in Monterey First Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thornton was born Sept. 11, 1979, in Natchez.

She was preceded in death by her step-sister, Sandy Reeves; and her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Gertrude Blount.

Survivors include her father, Howard Allen Blount and wife, Peggy, her mother, Darlen Grantham Blount Walters; two children, Haylee Irene Thornton and Curt Anthony Thornton; one brother, Howard Raymond Blount; half brother, Robert Reeves and wife, Emily; half-sister, Ashley Blount Schulte and husband, Matt; two step brothers, Kyle Dotson and wife, Jennifer, and Josh Stricklin and wife, Bridgette; step sister, Beth Nunnery and husband, Jeffery; and a number of other loving family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Butch Allen, Bo Parnell, Mitchell Baxter, James Jackson, J.L. Rutter and Joshua Grantham.
