DeRIDDER, La. — Services for James Block “Jamie” Aswell, 45, of DeRidder, La., who died Thursday, April 28, 2016, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder.

Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Jamie enjoyed fishing and golfing with his son.

Mr. Aswell was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Catherine Aswell and nephew and best friend, Eric Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Aswell; one son, Jayden Aswell of DeRidder; two sisters, Wanda Smith and Cathy Aswell of Ferriday; one niece, Brandy Hawley and husband, Eric, of Ferriday; and three great-nieces, Skylar, Makenzy and Harper.
