FERRIDAY — Services for Alma Jeanne Houston, 86, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Camelot Leisure Living Home in Ferriday, will be 10 a.m. today at Doty Road Church of God on Third Street in Ferriday with the Rev. Leonard Posey officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mrs. Houston was born Nov. 28, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Lee Dan and Mary Ellen Adair Morgan.

Her husband, Dr. Dennis Houston, who was the pastor of the Doty Road Church of God and Mrs. Houston was the musician for a number of years until her husband’s death in 1996.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a number of siblings.

Survivors include one brother, Dr. Dan Morgan of Los Angeles and her caregiver, Parish Jackson of Ferriday.
