NATCHEZ — Services for Robert “Sugar” Johnson Sr., 50, of Natchez, who died Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Rapides Medical Center, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Sago officiating. 

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Johnson was born June 18, 1965, in Adams County, the son of Willie L. and Lyttia H. Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his lovely wife, Hazel “Sandy” Johnson; his mother; two sons, Robert Johnson Jr. and Shawn Johnson; two grandchildren, Xavier Nelson and Ariona Johnson; mother-in-law, Uler Jackson; father-in-law, Joseph Beard; one brother, Lamorise Johnson Sr. and wife, Darlene; one adopted brother, Greg Brooks; four sisters, Latosha Prater, Debra Harris, Annette Johnson and Gladys Johnson; one niece, Destiny Johnson; one nephew, Lamorise Johnson Jr.; three brothers-in-law, Victor Jackson, Levy Jackson and Robert Jackson; four aunts, Josephine Blanton, Mary Wilson, Charlene Bradford and husband, Luther, and Marie Harris; two uncles, the Rev. Jim Hargrave and George Hargrave and wife, Carolyn; one special cousin, Elabethia Waston; and a number of other relatives and friends.
