Frank Pounds Webb

VIDALIA — Services for Frank Pounds Webb, 77, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, April 6, 2017 in Alexandria, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Young’s Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Fuller officiating under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 to service time  Tuesday.

Mr. Webb was born on Friday, Sept. 22, 1939, in Natchez, the son of George Byran Webb and Vera Rosetta Pounds Webb.

He served his country as a decorated Vietnam Veteran. He received multiple commendations for bravery during more than thirty years of service to his local community as a Vidalia Police Officer. At the time of his death he served as baliff for the 7th Judicial District Court.

He loved to camp, spending many hours with good friends and sharing good food. His presence on Facebook gave him untold hours of enjoyment. His favorite moments surrounded family and he was well known for his giving spirit. Frank could always be counted on for a good laugh and an even better story.

He was Diddy, Daddy, Papaw Frank, Daddy Frank, Uncle Frank, and Uncle Funk to many over the years whom he loved unconditionally. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pansy Eugenia Webb Smith and Margie Lee Webb Young; and great-grandmother, Azaria Therese Johnson.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Pam Webb of Vidalia; two daughters, Ginger Renee Hesler and husband, Robert, of Jigger, La., and Tanya Webb Pittman and husband, Ronald, of Prarieville, La.; son. Chad Ford and wife, Rosie, of Baton Rouge; two step-daughters. Stephanie Tillman and husband, Daniel, of Vidalia and Rikki Ann Perez of Vidalia; a sister, Theresia Webb Campbell of Dubach, La.; and Numerous precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
