CHURCH HILL — Services for Charles F. “Pat” Patterson III, 65, of Church Hill, who died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at his residence, will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Christ Episcopal Church in Church Hill with the Rev. Sam Godfrey officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mr. Patterson was born Feb. 26, 1952, in Natchez, the son of Charles F. Patterson Jr. and Catherine Virginia “Jinny” Wagner Patterson.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved animals. He loved music and reading and was a great friend.

Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother of Church Hill; one sister, Elizabeth Rose Patterson Thompson and husband, Eddie, of Natchez; one niece, Shannon Goodwin and husband, Thomas, of Birmingham, Ala.; one nephew, Drew Thompson and wife, Summer, of Natchez; and five great-nieces and great-nephews, Noah Goodwin, Rose Goodwin, Frannie Goodwin, Stratton Thompson and John Henry Thompson.

Pallbearers will be Adolph Wagner, Alan Wadsworth, Joey Brasseal, Tip Fore, Scott Manoley, Alan Lane, Gary Blackwell and Robert Lewis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Len Whittington, Dave McLain, Duncan McGehee, Marvin Hampton, Bobbie White, Mike Poole, Charles Emfinger, Tyrone Hargrave, Albert Evans and Tom Delasho.

The family extends a special thank you to all the family and friends who took great care of him.
