RIDGECREST — Services for Roy Dan Wagoner Sr., 88, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in Ferriday, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Wagoner officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Wagoner was born July 8, 1929, in West Monroe, La., the son of C.P. Wagoner and Gartha Owens Wagoner.

He was a member of Westside Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 305 in Vidalia, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the United Transportation Union.

Mr. Wagoner retired from Missouri/Union Pacific Railroad with more than 38 years of service. He was also owner and operator of Wagoner Trucking for 16 years.

Mr. Wagoner was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kitty Rose Wagoner Hula; two sisters, Elnora Avery and Lenore Scalfano; and three brothers, C.P. Wagoner Jr., Marshall Dean Wagoner and Julius Wagoner.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Ivie Johnson Wagoner; four sons, Roy Dan Wagoner Jr. and wife, Brenda, of West Monroe, Terry Michael Wagoner Sr. and wife, Margaret, of Natchez, Russell Gene Wagoner Sr. and wife, Angela, of Vidalia and Larry Kyle Wagoner Sr. and wife, Jean, of Ferriday; one sister, LaVerne Hargrove of Forney, Texas; one brother, Kenny Wagoner and wife, Millie, of Natchez; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kyle Wagoner, Matt Bowman, Lance Hula, Rusty Wagoner, Rory Wagoner, Michael Wagoner and nephews, Cody Wagoner and Casey Wagoner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Baron, Charles Cain, Paul Harris, Charlie Wood, William Seyfarth, Derrick Dungan and Barry Kraker.
