FERRIDAY — Services for Evalgene Washington, 68, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Washington was born Nov. 21, 1948, in Ferriday, the daughter of Jimmy Williams and Connie Washington.

She was a retired janitor for Concordia Parish School System.

Ms. Washington was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include three children, Frederick Washington and wife, Patricia, Stephanie and husband, Stacy, all of Natchez, and Terrence Washington of Charlottesville, Va.; one brother, Jimmy Knoten of Baton Rouge; one aunt, Nina James; one godbrother, Alvin Sheppard and wife, Margaret, all of Ferriday; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
