NATCHEZ — Services for Joseph Johnson Jr., 68, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Marblestone Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Natchez.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Johnson was born on Jan. 5, 1949, in Natchez, the son of Joseph Johnson Sr. and Ida Watson Johnson.

He was a member of the Marblestone Baptist Church Usher Board.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Freddie L. Johnson.

Survivors include one son, Shawn Ford of Natchez; one daughter, Ericka Johnson of Natchez; one brother, Samuel Johnson and wife, Ethel, of Natchez; five sisters, Rosia L. Anderson, Lusroa Watson, Johnnie Mae Johnson, all of Natchez, Lucy Johnson of Dallas, and Rosia M. Johnson of Irving, Texas; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
