NATCHEZ — Services for Yvonne Smith Flowers, 80, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at Promise Rehabilitation Hospital in Vidalia, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Denny Callaway officiating.
Burial will follow at New Salem Church of Christ Cemetery in Brookhaven under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Flowers was born on Aug. 16, 1937, in Brookhaven, the daughter of Earl Jefferson Smith and Lillie Louise Laird Smith. She was a member of Covington Road Church of Christ. She enjoyed working at the Natchez Stockyards and later became a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pernell Flowers; three brothers: Shirley “Smitty” Smith, Louis W. Smith and Curtis P. Smith.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Nettles and husband, Bruce; one son, Randy Johnson and wife, Chretia; three grandsons: Anthony Nettles, Matt Johnson and Logan Young; three granddaughters: Kristi Nettles, Hope Johnson, and Faith Anne Johnson; two sisters: Marjorie Haney and Pauline Falvey; seven great-grandchildren: Cole Thibodeaux, Brent Thibodeaux, Jordan Thibodeaux, Gracie Freeman, Katelon Nettles, Blake Seymor and Rose Johnson; and a host of nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Nettles, Matt Johnson, Reggie Smith, Logan Young, Terry Haney and Jason Falvey.
