CLAYTON — Services for William “Billy” Tidwell, 80, of Clayton, who died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, in Clayton, will be 2 p.m. at Clayton Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Melton Rushing and the Rev. Mancel officiating.

Burial will follow at Oakley Cemetery in Gilbert, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Tidwell was born June 29, 1937, in Wisner, La., the son of Vernon Tidwell and Rosa Mahoney Tidwell.

He was a member of Clayton Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Tidwell was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith Tidwell; one daughter, Kelly Silva Wilkinson; one brother, C.W. Tidwell; and two sisters, Verna Barfield and Ora Welch.

Survivors include three sons, Mike Tidwell and wife, Deanna, and Patrick Tidwell, all of California, and Brian Silva and wife, Linda, of Kentucky; three daughters, Candice Martin and husband, Tony, of Texas, Debbie Hambelton of California, and Theresa Delgado and husband, Bo, of Vicksburg; one brother, Vernon Castle Jr. of Arkansas; one sister, Barbara Walker and husband, Dub, of Sicily Island; 15 grandchildren, David Cordova, Michelle Hambelton, Ryan Tidwell, Keith Tidwell, Angela Youngman, Whitney Carroll, Melissa Bailey, Danielle Lambert, Charlie Tidwell, Patrick Anthony Tidwell Jr., Colin Silva, Lindsay Silva, Dakota Wilkinson, Felicity Delgado and Elaina Delgado; and eight great-grandchildren, Lynnea Rose Elvers, Destinie Maree Elvers, Faithe Ryilee Mcneil, Alister Branson Clark, Nadalee Jean Adams, Heather Youngman, Haley Youngman and Gabriel Carroll.

Pallbearers will be Laudale Johnese, Daryle Walker, Kenneth Watson and Daryle Walker II.
