MEADVILLE — Services for Gillette “Jill” Johnson, 79, of Crystal River, Fla., and a longtime resident of Roxie, who died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, at Hospice of Citrus in Nature Grove, Lecanto, Fla., with her loving family by her side, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with the Rev. Pat Sullivan, the Rev. Hollis McGehee and the Rev. Jamie Wallace officiating.
Burial will follow at the Roxie City Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johnson was born Nov. 19, 1938, in Switzerland.
She loved all animals, especially her “puppies.” She enjoyed caring for her flowers and plants. She enjoyed traveling around the USA as well as places around Europe. She never met a stranger and loved to spend time with her many friends.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Johnson was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years, William C. Johnson; four daughters, Beth Sawyers and husband, Terry, of Raleigh, N.C., Kathy Smith and husband, Albert, of Benton, La., Cindy Jones and husband, Gary, of Meadville, and Lisa Baldwin and husband, Arnold, of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; three sons, Eric Ramsey and wife, Wendy, of Palmetto, Fla., Cooper Johnson and wife, Marilyn, of Martin, Tenn., and William Johnson and wife, Brenda, of Sanford, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
