FERRIDAY — Services for Kevin Brooks, 36, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2108, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Word of Faith Ambassador Worship Center in Ferriday with the Rev. Theodore Walker officiating.
Burial will follow at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery in Frogmore under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Brooks was born Oct. 9, 1981, in Ferriday, the son of Johnny Jackson and Mary Brooks Hampton.
He was a dedicated overnight support employee at Walmart No.1106 in Vidalia for 12 years.
He was preceded in death by one aunt, Rose Brown, and two uncles, Willie Brooks and Roosevelt Brooks.
Survivors include his father; his mother and husband, John Hampton; four brothers, Johnny Brooks of Natchez, Lavon Brooks, Karl Hall and Malik Hampton, all of Ferriday; three sisters, Lubertha Jackson of Ferriday, Melissa Jackson of Alexandria, La., and Felicia Jackson of Monroe, La.; two aunts, Kathleen Brooks of Ferriday, and Georgia Potters of Vidalia; two uncles, Carl Brooks of Phoenix, Ariz., and Roosevelt Brooks Sr. of Ruston, La.; two special friends, Stephanie Lewis of Ferriday and Tara Mitchell of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
