NATCHEZ — Services for Joseph Gibson, 77, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Christian Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Larry Minor officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.           
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mr. Gibson was born June 25, 1941, in Woodville, the son of Jack Gibson and Jennie Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Annie L. Gibson; three daughters, Belvia Bass, Aletha Dixon and husband, Ivan, and Kimberly Bass; one son, Sidney J. Bass and wife, Linda; one sister, Jennie M. Knight; four sisters-in-law, Shirley Edwards, Mattie A. Harve and husband, Harve, Lillie Brown and husband, Darrel, and Addie Robinson; one brother-in-law, David Robinson; seven grandchildren, Mathew Bass, Kaitlyn Bass, Gabby Bass, Jalen Cameron Bass, Jeremy Dixon, Justin Dixon and Stephanie Dixon; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
