NATCHEZ — Graveside Services for Mr. Willie Gales Jr., 38, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 20, 2020, at his residence was held on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at St Paul A.M.E Church Cemetery with Rev. A.C Colenberg officiating. Under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Son Funeral Home.

Willie “aka ” Jr. Tank Gales was born Sept. 27, 1981, to Dora Gales Conner and Willie Gales, Sr.  He was educated in the Natchez Adams Public Schools.  He was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Bland Washington. He joined St Paul A.M..E. Church. He was skilled as a brick mason and worked for J. M. Jones.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Pearlene Woods, and his paternal grandparents, Joe and Julia Jones Gales. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother and stepfather, Dora Gales Conner and Marshall Conner; four sisters, Angela W. Brooks of Clinton, MS, Jennifer (Ivan) Woods of Jacksonville, Florida, Kesanera Woods of Baton Rouge, and Wendy Gales (Twin) of Natchez; one brother, Alex Gales (Deliliah) of Cedor Rapids, Iowa; a special friend, Lawrence Mason; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and other relatives and friends.
