MONTEREY – Graveside services for Karen Kay Finley were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, at Lone Pine Cemetery, Monterey, LA with Bro. Jason Sparks, Bro. Toney Ganey and Bro. Cole officiating under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.

Karen Kay Finley, 64, of Monterey, LA passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, in Jonesville.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Brody James Richards; father, James “Ed” Finley; mother, Betty Jo Poole; maternal grandparents, Jim and Janie Finley; paternal grandparents, Bronson and Julia Poole; sister, Edna Finley; and great niece, Shelby Massey.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Melissa Smith and husband, Curtis of Monterey and Kathryn Whitmore and husband, Nick of Mobile, AL; grandson, Weston Smith of Monterey; long-time companion, Wesley Otwell of French Fork, LA; sister, Josephine Hill and husband, Ralph; twin sister, Doris Hamilton and Robert, all of Monterey; Kay was dearly loved by her many nephews, nieces and a host of extended family and countless friends.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Steed and Gus Hill, Tyler and Dathan Trant, and Robby and James Hamilton.
