Vanessa Anna-Isabel Frye and Nathan Armand Burns, both of Nashville, Tenn., were married Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Dunleith Historic Inn with the Rev. Edward McRae and the Honorable John Hudson officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Patrick P. Burns of Natchez, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hicks, and the late Mr. Ted Frye Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Ashley and Ben Toman of Baton Rouge.

The bride was given in marriage by her brothers Alex and Lucas Frye, as well as her step-father, Richard Hicks. She wore an ivory, lace gown by designer, Allure. The gorgeous gown featured a beautiful neckline with contoured straps that continued to a keyhole back. A chapel-length train and covered buttons completed the elegant style. She wore a fingertip net veil trimmed in lace.

Dr. Jessica Phillips of Knoxville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Allen, Amanda Davis, Kathleen Duncan and Leslie Hunt, all of Nashville, Karin Burns of San Francisco, Kelcy Donald of Charlotte, N.C., Heather White of Johnson City, Tenn., and junior bridesmaid, Abbey Turpin of Prattville, Ala. They wore navy blue knee-length dresses by Alfred Sung.

Maggie Kate Phillips was the flower girl.

Patrick Burns, the groom’s father, and Eric Burns of San Francisco, the groom’s brother, served as best men. Groomsmen were Will Hunt, David Hefley and Calvit Ratcliffe, all of Nashville, Jonathan Hungerford of Clemson, N.C., Phillips Jenkins of Covington, La., Charlie Plauche of Austin, Texas, Hunter Dale of Baton Rouge, Lee Smith of Jackson, Chris Heard of New Orleans, Clinton Heard of Madison, Daniel Wentworth of Dallas and Wheeler Morrison of Atlanta.

Readers were Katie Coffey and Leslie Setzer of Knoxville and Ryan Marchbanks of Natchez.

A reception was held at Dunleith Historic Inn following the ceremony.

After enjoying a honeymoon in Turks and Caicos, the couple will live in Nashville.
