Kathleen Lanette Butler and Brandon Alex Smith of Natchez were married at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Weymouth Hall in Natchez with the Rev. Howard Smith officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Chase Callon of Natchez, Mr. Kenneth Butler of Ridgeland, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Jones of Ferriday and Mr. Bert Smith of Natchez.

Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Emile Burkley of Church Hill and Mrs. Kathleen W. Butler and the late Mr. Lehman Butler of Natchez.

Grandparents of the groom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Burdett Greenlee of Kilmichael, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Smith of Brookhaven.

Nuptial music was presented by Ms. Florence Hargis, harpist; and Mr. Ron Hux, guitarist and vocalist. Scriptures were read by Mr. Bryan Colin Stacy, cousin of the bride.

Mr. Adam Maurice Blackwell, cousin of the bride, was wedding coordinator. Ms. Ginny Sims, family friend of the bride, was wedding assistant.

Flowers for the ceremony and reception were arranged by Mrs. Brenda Zerby.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Mrs. Mitzi Burkley-Callon and Mr. Kenneth Butler.

The bride wore an Allure Bridals designer gown. The bodice of the gown featured satin straps with a sweetheart neckline of ivory English netting flowing into ivory lace appliqués over light gold bridal satin. Covered buttons cascaded down the back of the gown. Scalloped lace edged the hemline ending in a semi-chapel train. Her romantic ballet-length veil made of tulle with a raw edge completed the attire.

The bride’s bouquet was wrapped with the handkerchief of her honorary bridesmaid, the late Makenzi Rushing Jackson.

Kristin Lee Manning, sister of the bride, of Ferriday, served as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Amanda McMurren Nettles, Summer Milliken Thompson and Brandi King Garrity, all of Natchez, Hannah Burkley Provance and Lisa Poole Myrick, both of Brandon and Angie McMurren Hall of Vidalia.

They wore long, plum gowns that were highlighted with beautiful lace cap sleeves and an open back detail.

Proxy bride was Lisa Ansel Smith, sister-in-law of the bride, of Ocean Springs.

Flower girls were Sophie Maria Hall of Vidalia, Hailey Grace Nettles and Shelby Lee Nettles of Natchez. They wore matching handmade, ivory, vintage lace and tulle dresses and were adorned with fresh flower halos of baby’s breath and delicate wax flower.

Ty Logan Smith, brother of the groom, of Ocean Springs, served as best man. Groomsmen were Joseph Harman Willis, Garrett Wayne Jones, Stratton Drew Thompson, John Brandon Garrity, all of Natchez, Premo Joseph Stallone III of Metairie, La., and Larkin Stewart Turner of Longview, Texas.

Grant Webb Manning, nephew of the bride, of Ferriday, was ring bearer.

The reception following the ceremony was at Weymouth Hall.

After a wedding trip to Saint Lucia, the couple resides in Natchez.
