The bride’s bridal bouquet of peonies, hydrangeas and orchids was accented with her late maternal grandmother’s broach.

Attending the bride as her maid of honor was Kathryn Marie Marchesini, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids included Kendahl Brown Drendall, Katherine Margaret Gleason, Jessica Paton Marshall, Kimberly Michelle Moreau, Ashley Renee Nelson and Meridith Muzzi Portera.

Bridesmaids wore blush pink knee-length gowns and carried matching bouquets of hydrangeas, orchids and roses.

William John Napier, the groom’s brother, served as best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Joseph Burke, Anthony Julian DiRusso, Stephen John Greeley, John Noland Marchesini, Robert Norman Reeves III and James Claiborne Whittaker.

The groom’s nephew, William Joshua Napier, served as the ring bearer.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Latrobe’s on Royal, where guests dined on flavorful locally-inspired cuisine by renowned New Orleans Chef John Besh’s Catering Group and danced to classic Motown and soul music by local band favorite BRW.

The bride’s multi-tiered cake featured layers of red velvet, carrot, strawberry and almond flavors. The groom’s cake was designed to resemble a bourbon barrel topped with realistic-looking fried chicken.

Following the celebrations, the couple departed the reception by a traditional second line carrying decorated umbrellas and personalized handkerchiefs. Kinfolk brass band led the couple and their friends and family throughout the French Quarter and ended at the famed Café du Monde for beignets.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner and dancing in honor of the bride and groom at the legendary spot The Blue Room in The Roosevelt Hotel, where guests were entertained by a slide show of the couple and music by the Creole String Beans band.

The couple is at home in New York City.
