NATCHEZ — Services for Charles Gordon “Sonny” Smith III, 54, of Natchez, who died Oct. 17, 2018 at St. Dominic’s in Jackson, were Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Natchez with Justin Hase officiating.

Burial followed in Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was born Jan. 31, 1964, in Natchez, the son of Charles G. Smith Jr. and Gloria E. Seyfarth-Smith.

He was preceded in death by four grandparents, Charlie “Pap” and Alice R. Smith, Marion E. Seyfarth Sr., and Margaret Vernell Matthews Seyfarth; three uncles, Oscar L. Seyfarth, Eddie “Laidbac” Seyfarth, and Marion E. Seyfarth Jr.; and two cousins, Sarah Paige Seyfarth and Tami L. Seyfarth McDonald.

Survivors include five children, Charlie Alan Smith, Meagan A. Floyd and her husband, Cody, Morgan Smith, Matthew Smith and Crystal Hughes and her husband, Todd; his mother; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
