Louis “Big Bobby” Mulvihill

NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Louis “Big Bobby” Mulvihill, 91, of Roxie, who died Friday, November 2, 2018 at Franklin County Memorial Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glen Harrigill officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday, both at the funeral home.

Mr. Mulvihill was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Vidalia, the son of Dennis M. Mulvihill and Vinita Trindle Mulvihill.

He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Vidalia. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in World War II. He was a member of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Honor Flight. He was a 4th generation roofer. He started Ambulance Service and got the first Jaws of Life in Concordia Parish. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Arthur Lee Mulvihill, one daughter, Jeannie Roberts, one brother, Dennis A. Mulvihill, one grandson, John Nugent, one granddaughter, Chenna Wheeler, two great-grandchildren, Luther Morace and Brodie Mulvihill, and a niece, Stephanie Benit.

Survivors include his wife, Joan B. Mulvihill; two sons, Louis B. Mulvihill Jr. and wife, Judy, and Bobby Delane Mulvihill and wife, Cheryl “Snookie”; three daughters, Barbara Dunn and husband, Wallace, Robin Nugent and husband, Johnny Ray, and Judy Mulvihill and husband, Timmy; brother in law, Eddie Benit; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Keith Mulvihill, Mike Mulvihill, Daniel Lamouranne, Zach Nugent, Johnny Ray Nugent and Timmy Nations.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Benit, members of the Riverside Baptist Church Sunday school class, and members of the Big M Hunting Club.
