NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Margaret Calcote Staten, 77, of Bakersfield, California, who died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, in Bakersfield, will be Saturday, March 14, 2020, at 10 a.m. at George F. West, Sr. Memorial Chapel at West Gate Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Leesdale Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Margaret was a kind and loving person who sacrificed herself for the good of others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Margaret was employed at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe, Louisiana for over 30 years until her retirement. She was highly respected and known for her sense of humor that brought a smile to the faces of her patients, co-workers and friends. Margaret’s proudest moments were spending time with her family, working in the church and baking. Margaret’s joy of cooking, dancing and her undeniable smile will be lovingly missed by her family.
