A little lemonade for a big cause

Hello friends.

Just wanted to share the final count for Mae & Friends’ Lemonade Stand. They raised exactly $3,000! We were $15 shy of $3,000 this week, when we were headed to the shelter for the girls to deliver their donation.

Literally, a check was handed to me that made that difference up and we had $3,000 on the nose. The Natchez-Adams County Humane Society board members were very appreciative and were able to pay employees using some of the money we brought in.  The girls also got to hold a sweet, Bassett Hound puppy that was just adopted. So the money raised is being put to good use already.

Thanks to everyone for coming by to support the girls, mailing a donation, baking something for us or advertising to spread the word. Their success definitely wouldn’t happen without all of our friends, family and the community who care about a good cause.

Please remember to spay or neuter your pets and encourage friends and family to do the same. We will be back next year!

The girls — Sophie Webber, Alexandra Person, Madison Delaney, Taylor Baroni and Mae Holyoak — thank you again for helping animals.
